ABOUT WORKSHOP
During our workshop young, future filmmakers will get to know the basics of screenwriting, directing, editing, production and acting. Our workshop is for high-schoolers mostly, but everyone can apply. Our workshops are free of charge.
In five days will attendants with the help of four lectors try to turn their ideas on given theme into one minute film. This year we are focusing on the main theme of ecology. The subtheme will be announced in the beginning of each workshop. Students are working in small groups. Each lector is tutoring maximum of four attendants. Our lectors are young professionals from film industry, with different backgrounds and approach to the film itself.
The screening of created films will be a public event at the film festival, where workshop will be set. Attendants will present their movies there. The screening will be followed by short discussion. Authors will get short feedback from their colleagues, lectors and audience.
The films will be published at https://azylshorts.sk/ after the workshop as the way to promote them to the general public. Apart from that they will be promoted on social medias as well (Facebook and Instagram of Festival AZYL). The Festival AZYL may be the future station for attendants.
